I told you recently that Panasonic was preparing to enter the housing market with a series of modular homes, well, guess what, here comes IKEA!
IKEA just introduced their newest product to Gateshead, England — but unlike their popular furniture line, there's no assembly required.
Will they be coming to the US to compete with our manufacturers? They can and they will. And the darker the recession gets, the more attractive their homes will become, especially to Gen Y buyers who have grown up with the IKEA furniture and love going to the funky stores and getting the "Manager's Special" in the food court.
Here are a couple of pictures of their new homes.

Another wake-up call to American industry. Let's not allow our housing "innovation" to be overtaken by foreign entities like our auto industry!
It is time now for the American builders to wake up and start building more prefab homes like the Europeans do, our hmes here are crap when it comes to Craftsmanship.
