The NAHB's builder sentiment index has been stuck at 16 for the last 4 months and February is no different.  In the monthly poll of member builders, a number of less than 50 indicates an unhealthy confidence in the state of our industry.  It has not been higher than 16 since April 2006.

Last year was the worst year for new home building in the last half-century.  Each new home that is built creates on average, three new jobs for a year.  It also brings in about $90,000 in taxes.

This is why the modular housing industry is turning to large commercial type projects to keep their doors open.

It is a very smart move!
