The Riverstone Inn in Towanda, PA needed to expand it's hotel accommodations and turned to Pleasant Valley Homes in Pine Grove, PA.  Larry Fulmer, president of Four Friends Development, which owns the Inn, said that he has been interested in modular construction for quite some time and what better way to test it out than on his own hotel.

The new building will be located roughly 150 feet from the existing RiverStone Inn, which contains 16 hotel rooms and the Wildfire Grille & Tap Room.  The new building will be made of 32 modular units, which will be trucked to the RiverStone Inn and assembled on site, Fulmer said.

The owners of the RiverStone Inn are waiting for the construction of the modular units to be completed in a factory, at which time they will all be trucked to the site, he said.

Pleasant Valley Homes is the sister company to Pine Grove Homes, a manufactured housing plant, also in Pine Grove, PA.  Fulmer said he thought this is the first major commercial project the company has done and if they are successful with this one, look for them to do more.

Both companies are known for their elaborate kitchens featuring "hearth walls" and both companies also have large model home villages featuring both manufactured homes from Pine Grove Homes and modular homes from Pleasant Valley Homes.
