I've been saying for years that modular new home builders need to get the press involved when they are setting a house because the average Joe and Jane have never seen a modular home built.  For most of them, they see a big hole with a foundation on their street on the way to work in the morning and when they get home in the evening, there's a home setting there.

How it happens is still a mystery to many of them.  So when the website, Mother Nature Network, wrote a small story about how a modular home was set in May of 2010, imagine my surprise when they actually named the modular home general contractor.

The article didn't name the factory that built it and the statement by the author that he wasn't crazy about the finished product was a little off-putting, but it is still great PR for modular housing and especially for  Sandy Spring Builders in Bethesda, MD.
