Four days of rain left months of cleanup and some scars that will never go away.

It began to pour in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on Sept. 4 as Tropical Storm Lee finished the final leg of his journey across the eastern United States to the Atlantic. The sun came out Sept. 8 after 7 to 15 inches of rain had fallen, swelling creeks and rivers, swamping roadways and flooding Pine Grove borough and numerous other communities in the county.

The flood forced Pine Grove Manufactured Homes Inc. to close its factory in the borough, and the company has not said when or if it will ever reopen. Meanwhile, it has offered its employees positions at its sister company, Pleasant Valley Modular Homes, also in Pine Grove.

They join Manorwood Homes that also closed its doors when it was hit with the same flood waters.

If it isn't the economy, it's the floods.
