Who else but the Canadians could come up with a term like that. Socialized Medicine and Ready to Move houses. Keep them up there.

Coach, following up on previous posts -- another reason for the modular industry to have a spokesperson whose primary goal is to espouse the virtues of modular. And, to educate the public (builders, homebuyers, state/local/national government) on the benefits of modular housing.

Wells Fargo called me about a builder verification and a customer loan. The rep asked if I was building a kit home or manufactured. I told her I build modular homes. She asked if it was a kit or manufactured again. I told her sears built kit homes and this is not going in a mobile home park. I told her I was building a four piece home. She liked that answer and thanked me for my time and hung up. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!

To answer your rhetorical question, "What is wrong with the word Modular", the answer is that the word modualr was hijacked by the manufactured housing folks.

When the only people in our industry that ever promote the word "modular" are the HUD people, what do you expect?
