Palomar Modular Buildings, a Texas based manufacturer of commercial prefabricated and modular buildings has announced the formation of a student housing marketing group.

This effort is designed to offer colleges and universities, along with student housing developers, a cost effective and timely answer to the burgeoning need for student housing and dormitories.

The designs that have been developed by Palomar, working with architects experienced in the student housing market, result in student housing projects that can be finished in half the time. The building modules are built in the production facility while the sites are being prepared. The follow-on assembly and finish-out of the buildings is done in a matter of weeks versus months or years.

John Martin, President of Palomar Modular Buildings, says, "Our integrated approach to designing, engineering and producing modulars with our own experienced employees and manufacturing facility keeps us engaged with our clients and industry experts from start to finish."

The largest privately held modular home manufacturer, HIG, which owns Excel Homes, All-American Homes and Mod-U-Kraf Homes is also aggressively marketing to the university and commercial markets through its IDBS division.
