Minnesota Manufactured/Modular Home Factory Hiring

After feeling the effects of the country’s housing downturn since 2008, modular home builder Friendship Homes is all smiles this year. Its work force counts more than 200 and the “help wanted’’ sign is always up. There’s a backlog of orders, with orders for some 20-foot-wide units sold through the remainder of the year.

I searched through all their literature and couldn't find any 2 story homes and the only conclusion I can come to is that they convert their manufactured home floorplans, change some specs and ship them out as modular.  Most of their production is headed to support the oil industry that is going ballistic in that region.

General Manager Mark McMahan is confident the company will soon go ahead with plans for a major expansion that will nearly double its daily production of modular housing units from seven to 12 a day.
