199 Unit Modular Housing Complex Completed in Australia

Those Aussies are giving our modular industry a run for the money when it comes to building unique and affordable housing. The recently completed "The Nicholson" in Melbourne, Australia is just the latest example of what they build down under.  Built in the Unitised Building factory, this modular building cost about half what normal site building would cost.

110 privately owned apartments and 89 affordable units all setting on top of a big commercial space shows what can be done when using modular construction. Apparently it has been so well received that more copies of this building are being planned throughout Victoria.
