Keiser Homes Joining the Nation’s Largest Modular Home Group

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been hearing rumors that Excel Homes has been looking for a New England factory to join the Excel family and more efficiently supply homes to their builders in New England.

Very reliable sources in the modular home industry have confirmed that Keiser Homes in Oxford, Maine, one of the largest and best known New England modular home factories, is in serious discussion to join with Excel Homes.

Excel Homes in Liverpool along with their sister companies, All American Homes and Mod-U-Kraf Homes will continue to grow with the help of Keiser Homes.  They are going to use the very experienced labor pool and management of Keiser to help keep up with demand.

Keiser’s current builder base will benefit from the buying, engineering and marketing efforts that Excel brings with them.

I wish everyone at Keiser Homes and Excel Homes the best.

“This is only logical”..Spock

I hear that Excel is building 35 modules a week. They must be doing something right in all of the departments to have this much business. Congratulations to Excel and good luck for their continues success.

Excel must be really busy for them to be out loooking other plants. Do you know many they are building a week?

I hope for the employee's and local businesses and suppliers of Keiser Homes that Excel does not do what they did to Chelsea and several other home companies. Buy them, close them, and get them out of the way. Also in my life time I've seen other companies buy, buy and get bigger, and bigger and poof they are gone.

Given Excel's track record and the management team that is currently running the show, I hope Keiser Homes enters any discussion w/ eyes wide open.

Welcome Excel Homes !!!! Jobs,Jobs,Jobs!!!! Much needed for Maine's Economy, Since the United States Government can't get past their EGOS !!! Excel is a Top-Notch Company that is Growing, just like everyone else in this Industry....Jobs create Money...

Bigger doesn't mean better quality and service. Bigger will just put more money into the pockets of the private equity owner and selected management when the investment is sold/exited. Excel, All American and Modukraf are held by HIG Capital, thus related by the private equity umbrella. Under this definition, Berkshire Hathaway may arguably be the largest modular group.

Excel once before put up a sign claiming they were coming to Maine.
When I asked the Sales Manager of Excel about that, he said " That 500.00 sign was the best money they ever spent." He went on to say " We were never going to build a plant but we got many builders buying from us that would never had done so before and we made out big."
Buyer beware!

Preferred Building Systems and New England Homes are trying to make this work too! I don't think that it's going as planned.
Think about it!!!
