Local Builders Mess Up New Modular Homes for Military Familes

Military families in Watertown, NY were excited to see their new homes arrive by carriers from the Marlette Homes factory in Lewistown, PA. That excitement soon turned to frustration and anger as the first five homes were not finished correctly.

According to the article in the Watertown Daily Times, the problems rose because there was no clear General Contractor and the workers were unfamiliar with modular home construction. Apparently the homes shipped by Marlette were just what was ordered and contractors on the recieving end messed up by not having tools available to do the job properly.
