Product Branding Comes to the Manufactured Housing Industry

Product branding is big business today. College and Pro sports teams make millions from licensing their trademark and logos. Product placement in movies and TV shows generates hype for the products and now that hype is coming to the system built industry.

Champion Home Builders, Inc., a leader in the manufactured homes and Park Model RV industry and one of the largest modular homebuilders in North America, announced today that they have entered into a licensing agreement with leading recreational vehicle manufacturer, Winnebago Industries, Inc.  for a line of Park Model RV's. The license agreement between Winnebago and Champion could usher in a new way to market and sell modular homes.

I can see it now. Excel Homes who ships their modular homes into every state in New England and the mid-Atlantic regions, could have a home for each state with the state’s top college logo on each house. Or Ritz Craft, another factory that ships to even more states could offer a Pro Football option package in their homes with the team’s logo plastered everywhere inside the house.

Don’t forget Nascar or WWF. The branding that is out there to be used by the modular housing industry is wide open.

Personally, I will take the Penn State option in my new modular home.
