October 29th, 2015 marks the 3 year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy. The destruction caused by this storm to the Jersey Shore was beyond anyone’s imagining. Now 3 years removed from that destruction, many families are still not back in their homes. Homeowners affected by Superstorm Sandy now have more options for rebuilding solutions thanks to a partnership between Selinsgrove based Custom Modular home manufacturer Durabuilt Custom Homes, LLC, Miller Homes, LLC. and A Future With Hope.

A Future With Hope, one of the leading Sandy recovery organizations in New Jersey, Durabuilt Custom Homes, and Miller Homes, a full service modular home builder teamed together to provide affordable modular homes to homeowners in need of a total rebuild. Homeowners have the option of an 800,1200 or 1600 sq. foot home built to Energy Star 3.0 certification.

Durabuilt Homes manufactures the homes in their Selinsgrove, PA facilities and delivers the homes to the Jersey Shore.  Miller Homes sets the homes, and A Future With Hope supplies volunteers and professional tradespeople to finish the work. The first home built through the work of this team has just been completed in Tuckerton, NJ.

On October 29th A Future With Hope, Miller Homes and Durabuilt Custom Homes will celebrate this partnership in a day of commemoration with other partners in recovery. Representatives from the Ocean County Long Term Recovery Group and Episcopal Relief and Development will join them for a lunch at Lighthouse Alliance Community Church in Tuckerton. The guest speaker will be Maj. Betty Israel of the Salvation Army who will speak about the many organizations working together to make recovery possible.  After lunch a blessing for the Tuckerton home will be conducted.

Durabuilt Custom Homes is a family owned modular home manufacturer based in Selinsgrove PA building a wide verity of homes in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States with a focus on Customization, Quality Craftsmanship, and Manufacturing Excellence.

Miller Homes is a family owned and operated business, creating distinctive modular homes for clients along the Jersey Shore that is an A+ accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.
A Future With Hope is a non-profit organization started by the United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey to lead relief and recovery efforts after Superstorm Sandy. They have rebuilt 183 homes and have a goal of completing 300-500 homes.

Using volunteer labor and professional tradespeople offers homeowners solutions that help stretch dollars further. Volunteers come from all over the United States to help rebuild and finish homes. It is estimated 10,000 families’ home still need repaired or replaced from damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.
