STOP CALLING THEM YARD DOGS!!!!!! They are houses that were built that don't have a home for one reason or the other.

Coach,
call them what ever you want. It is your Blog site.
by the way, this is a great idea to get these Yard Dogs out there for viewing. I am sure more than 1 will find a good home.

Coach,
Love the idea of the Yard Dogs!
Aged inventory has to go at sometime!
A sale is a sale especially to a MFG that has had a builder loose a deal to another builder.

I have to disagree with the call them what you want comment. Coach has become a source for the industry and consumers and as such ! His use of terms puts the industry out there for every one to see. He sates that he has 3000 + followers. Knowing the size of this industry, potential consumers have to be part of his group. Do we as an industry reall want this consumer group to think of Thierry potential new house as a dog? Is that most most complimentary term we can use for a product that has not shipped for whatever reason? Does the car industry refer to last years model as their dog? No, they don't. Do I think that coach has a great and helpful idea by listing these ? Yes, absolutely, but if we want to improve our dismal market share of the housing starts then we have to have a better name when referring to open units...... Could they better referred to a s a home ready for immediate deliver. Or a house needing a home? But yard dog does not do a thing for the industry other that degrade what we all do to a lesser standard.
