Icon Legacy Continues to Promote Student Interest in Modular Housing _UPDATED_

In September Icon Legacy Custom Modular Homes LLC hosted several adult educators from the Frederick County Maryland Building Industry Association (FCBIA) and their local Career and Technology Center’s (CTC) Carpentry Vocational course on a meet and greet at the Icon Legacy production facility.

Annually this program is involved with other local businesses in the site construction of a residential home that is then sold to raise funds to support the program and fund their upcoming projects.

This year, with the help and guidance of Frank Dertzbaugh from Green Living Homes in Ijamsville, MD the students and instructors selected a tiny home to produce in their education facility using systems built modular techniques.

The home will then be transported and displayed at the FCBIA Home Show in March 2017 and then on to a permanent site for eventual sale to a retail customer.

These kids are doing a great job using off site building practices and are the future of this industry.  Many thanks to Frank Dertzbaugh for giving them this opportunity and to Icon Legacy’s sales rep Kevin Johnson for putting this together.
