Irontown Homes Ready to Introduce their SLEDhaus to 300,000 People on July 4th

Utah’s largest parade will include an unusual entrant this year.

Utah-based modular home builder Irontown Homes will be showcasing its brand new tiny home in the annual parade that will draw an estimated 300,000 spectators Independence Day morning in Provo, Utah.

Spectators along the parade route will be able to view the 572 sq. ft. SLEDhaus model built in Spanish Fork.

The SLEDhaus is built as a modern, elegant, and energy efficient recreational home that can serve multiple purposes for those with land in remote locations. The SLEDhaus features an open floor plan with a spacious great room, large kitchen, single bedroom, full-size bathroom and a loft that offers additional sleeping space.

Irontown Homes built the luxurious model to meet modern style and demands for minimalism and energy efficient living. The SLEDhaus is built to IRC Code, fully insurable, can be financed with a mortgage loan, and comes ready for off-the-grid living.

The SLEDhaus can serve as a temporary housing solution, or set as a permanent structure anywhere throughout the western United States.

As part of this year’s parade, entrants are tasked with promoting patriotism and traditional family values.

“With the SLEDhaus, it absolutely promotes family time. Buyers get an affordable, but luxurious home that can be permanently placed as a recreational or vacation spot,” said Irontown Homes General Manager Kam Valgardson. “Spending time together is important for families and the SLEDhaus provides a unique, fun option for families looking to get away while still being able to enjoy many of the luxuries of a comfortable home.”

“We’re excited to be able to show this beautiful home to so many people during this year’s parade,” Valgardson said.

The Provo Freedom Festival Grand Parade begins at 9 a.m. in Provo, Utah on July 4, 2017.

I love it that our industry is seeing opportunities in the tiny house movement, while also building fully compliant IRC homes. That was my knock against most tiny homes.
