Spark New Ideas for the New Year with Building Systems at IBS

The Building Systems Councils (BSC) Hospitality Lounge is set for a busy International Builders' Show (IBS) Jan. 9-11 in Orlando. The National Association of Home Builders specialty group for all things building systems, the Building Systems Councils is hosting multiple presentations and networking events over the three-day trade show

On Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 3:30- 5:30 p.m., TV personality and home building professional Mike Holmes will lead a panel of systems-built experts about the green characteristics and energy efficiency of prefabricated components. Following the discussion, a Building Systems Industry Networking Reception is taking place featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine.

In keeping with the networking theme, the BSC is hosting a Building Systems Mix & Mingle Lunch from 12:15- 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Take advantage of a relaxed setting to learn about systems built homes and meet like-minded professionals currently operating in the off-site construction industry.

The lounge is also hosting 15 presentations, touching on all four manufacturing disciplines represented by the BSC, including modular homes. Renowned speakers from the systems built community, including Sam Rashkin, Ken Semler, Brian Flook, Jack Armstrong and Gerard McCaughey are schedule to present on topics such as what makes for good housing design, how to get started on the right foot with modular, must-have secrets for marketing, the benefits of using insulated panels and why off-site construction makes both dollars and good sense.

Also, outside of the lounge the BSC is cosponsoring a Wednesday afternoon happy hour in the IBS Show Village. Several home builders, designers and product manufacturers come together to create a neighborhood in the Orange County Convention Center parking lot during IBS. Three homes in this year's Show Village are being built using modular construction.

IBS attendees of all registration levels are welcome to visit the Building Systems Councils Hospitality Lounge in West Concourse Level III, W310. I will be there and I hope to see you too!

The Buildings Systems Councils and its members are looking forward to seeing everyone at IBS! You won't find a more impressive lineup of systems-built speakers in 2018 than at the Building Systems Hospitality Lounge. Don't miss this opportunity to network and learn form a who's who of the entire building systems industry.
