When modular home builders get together, one of the topics usually discussed is how well their factory's service department works with them.


Are you satisfied with the service department of your modular home factory?

NO!!! Over promise and under deliver on across the board from acceptance of issue to final resolution.

I've been with the same factory for 11 years. Quality is OK but they've had 3 service managers and the level of service changes with each one. The one they have now is the worst of them. I'm going to be looking at other factories over the Winter simply because he is such a prick.

I talked to my sales rep and the sales manager and neither seems to be able to help. When I told them I'm going to be shopping my homes to other factories because of the service manager, they told me they were available to quote houses for me and sorry to hear I'm not happy. WTF!

It simple guys the olde guard be it suppliers, distributors, factories know you'll probably not leave if the throw you a bone now and then.. besides from their side of the coin, your rep makes money for em and the service folks loose money; what part of the equation don't you understand?

Sorry but I don't see those problems at my factory. Sure we get some stuff that needs repaired when the module gets unwrapped but when I call my service guy he either sends someone out or allows me fix it and backcharge the factory.
