New Home Starts Best in 5 Years.

The Commerce Department released the annualized housing starts for October showing a revised of 474,000 starts which was the strongest since July of 2008. Bloomberg called it at 440,000.

Home buyers, encouraged by employment gains, stock prices and stable interest rates have been keeping new home builders busy. Applications for new home construction was also at a five year high and 2014 looks like it may start off on a strong note.

At the 3% market share that modular housing enjoys, that means that 13,500 +/- homes will be built in modular factories this year. For the approximately 100 modular home factories in the US, this is only 3 homes each week.
